Process for Search and Select Vacancy Management
- You complete the farm information questionnaire and take photos of your farm and amenities
- We compile a ‘Farm Information Pack’ to use in the marketing of your position
- We liaise with you and draw up an appropriate job outline
- We compile a suitable advertisement and get your approval
- We place the advertisement as agreed with you. At no charge this advertisement automatically goes on our website and we manage placement on Fencepost if appropriate.
- We receive all applications. Most applications will be managed through our on-line application and CV builder environment
- We shortlist applicants and telephone screen leading applicants to gauge suitability
- We reference check the leading applicants
- Interviews and testing with top candidates is undertaken. Based on location we use a combination of face to face interviewing, web-based interviewing and telephone interviewing to assess the applicants suitability for your position and to answer any questions they may have.
- Second interviews are organised on your farm for the leading applicants. We will discuss with you the format for this interview one of our consultants will be there to guide you through the process.
- You may choose to visit the top applicant’s in their own farm environment
- Final referee checks will be carried out based on the second interview feedback
- Job offer and terms and conditions will be negotiated on your behalf
- An appropriate employment agreement will be completed for you
Guarantee
We will bring you the best possible applicants interested in your position for the period in which we are managing the vacancy.
If an appointment isn’t working out for either party, No.8 HR undertakes to find a solution. If this proves unsuccessful No.8 HR undertakes to replace the candidate should the initial candidate cease to be employed within a 12 week period of commencement.
If a replacement is not required or if a suitable replacement cannot be found within a reasonable period No.8 HR will issue a credit to offset against future fees, calculated as follows:
- 70% of the fee for termination in the four weeks
- 50% of the fee for termination in the second four weeks
- 25% of the fee for termination in the third four week period
This guarantee does not apply if the candidate is no longer employed for reasons beyond No.8 HR control (for example redundancy, company closure, restructuring, change of management or significant change in job description).
Guarantees do not apply to replacement candidates and are dependent on invoices being paid by the due date.

Please note that our fees are calculated on base remuneration excluding housing and any other benefits.

Payment Details
This deposit covers the costs of registering the vacancy, the compilation and insertion of your vacancy information on our website and the provision of an approrpaite job outline for your position. The job outline and farm information pack (which you can download from the web) are yours to continue using in the future.
Advertising and other disbursements are payable by the end of the month in which they are incurred.
The balance of the fee due is payable upon signing of the employment agreement or contract with the successful applicant.
